Easily done: you revise a quote by creating a new one instead of editing the original, and both sit at SENT. Each gets its own sequence. Void the superseded quote and its chasing stops.
"J Smith Ltd" and "John Smith Limited" are two contacts to Xero. Merge them in Xero, then future quotes attach to one record.
If you regularly re-quote, get into the habit of voiding the old version at the moment you send the new one. It prevents duplicates and keeps your pipeline value accurate.
